Change a Scanned Document Type
After you scan, take a photo, upload, or view a load document, you might notice the document type is wrong. For example, a lumper (LUM) mistakenly classified as a bill of lading (BOL). For accurate load processing and invoicing, each document must have the correct document type.
To edit the correct document type, follow these steps:
-
In the top menu bar, click Invoicing.
-
On the Invoicing page, find the load. (You need to find the load first and then you can identify the right document before you can change its document type.)
-
In the Docs column at far right, click the
Open Document Viewer icon to open the documents for the load.
Example:
Click
+3 to open the Document Viewer page.
Result: The Load Details page opens and the Documents tab shows all load documents (also known as the Document Viewer page).
-
Under the document preview or thumbnail image, click
Edit.
Result: The Change Document Type window appears.
-
In the Change Document Type window, select the correct document type from the pop-up list of values in the Type field.
-
To save your changes, click OK. (To revert back to the original document type, click Cancel.)
