Submit a Trip Sheet
If configured by your fleet, carrier, broker, or employer, you can use the mobile app to submit a trip sheet. You can include scanned documents and images such as a bill-of-lading (BOL), fuel receipts, tolls, and other trip reports.
Note: If not configured, contact your supervisor to enable trip sheets in the mobile app. As an alternative policy, you could fill out a paper trip sheet, scan it, and send it. Or, you can complete your own trip sheet using any app such as Google Docs or Apple Numbers app and save it as a PNG or JPEG image file or take a screenshot and send that using the Mobile+ app scanning feature.
-
Tap Trip Sheet or Trip Report.
-
Enter the required field data and also complete any optional fields that help support your trip.
-
Scroll down and enter any required data such as odometer or temperature readings. You can also enter amounts for weight scale tickets, tolls, and fuel receipts. Tap Next.
-
If you just want to send the field data, tap Submit now. To add a photo or document, tap Add Photo or Add Page.
-
In this example, we tapped Add Page. Instead of scanning a document, we tapped Upload Existing Image. We cropped out any unwanted parts of the page and tapped Next to continue.
-
In this example, our carrier or broker requires us to add a signature. We tap Add Signatures.
-
We can sign our own screen or hand our device to a dock worker or consignee and have them sign for the shipment.
-
When finished signing, tap Next.
-
(Optional) In some configurations, you do not choose a document type because the entire batch of documents you are about to submit is considered one big trip report. For other carriers, you will be expected to set the document type for each item you include. On the Choose Document Type screen, tap the type of document you just scanned.
To change a document type, you can tap on its name in the list and then tap Edit DocType. Select a different document type. On some devices, you might have to tap Back or swipe left or right to go back to the list.
-
At this step, you have at least one document in the list. To add more document pages to send in this same batch for one or more loads, tap the Add Page button and repeat the steps above for adding existing documents or using the camera to capture new documents.
-
To view a larger Preview of each item in the list, tap its small thumbnail image. You can also edit the document type one more time on the Preview screen. To go back to the list, tap Back.
-
To remove an item from the list, tap X Remove.
-
When ready to submit your trip sheet and associated photos, documents, and signatures, tap Send All.
-
You see a notification at the top and get a confirmation number. If your mobile data or Wi-Fi are not strong enough to send right now because you are in a tunnel or away from a cell tower or wireless access point (hotspot), see Scan Offline with Document Queue. Leave Transflo Mobile+ on. It will try to send your documents later when network access is restored.
-
(Optional) You can tap View Document to see your trip report as it appears in the Transflo platform (for up to 14 days).
-
Tap Close.

Reminder: Transflo is the premier provider of popular commercial apps, custom white label apps, in-cab tablet editions, and thousands of additional integration features. Due to all the possible product configuration changes for your specific fleet, it is possible that user interface labels, buttons, links, dials, tiles, icons, colors, logos, and placement on the screen can vary. Features can also be hidden from your view based on fleet ID or permissions. In the documentation, we cover a default setup with screen examples that are generally similar for smart phones and tablets running either iOS or Android OS. Adjust certain steps, if needed, to reflect your actual device and product configuration.
