Configure Transflo DMS Document Manager Gauss NT Revision Support

Use this KB article to configure revision control for Gauss NT. For Document Manager to access your document classes in Gauss NT, you must configure revision control for each document class.

 

  1. Open the DMS Admin tool.

  2. In the main menu, choose Images , Document Class Definitions.

  3. On the General tab of the Document Class Definitions window, select a document class in the Class Name field.

  4. Select Allowed/UseReadOnly Lock from the Revision Support drop-down.

  5. Repeat these steps for all document classes.

  6. When finished, click OK to close the Document Class Definitions window.

  7. Exit the DMS Admin tool.

  8. Test your configuration.

 

Note: DMS features and configuration parameters have changed over the last few years. As of December 2024, administrators no longer connect Document Manager directly to Gauss or Magellan; instead, the system goes directly to the Transflo platform and Transflo handles the connection to Gauss. Other system types generally do not work unless you configure the Transflo Repository Bridge.
