Create a Synergize User

Use this article to create local Synergize users in the Synergize Enterprise Management Console.

  1. Log on to the server hosting Synergize EMC and launch it.

  1. Navigate to Synergize Users under Deployment Profiles. Click New User (yellow star).

  1. In the Synergize User window:

  1. Leave User Is a Security Provider User unchecked.

  2. Enter a custom Username in the first textbox.

Map the local Synergize account to an Active Directory account using the Synergize Username dropdown menu.

Set a password by typing and retyping the same password. For Select User Roles it is recommended to leave this as Deployment User. Click OK.

4. Enter the PrimaryUser user name and password for the changes to take effect.

Note: The Synergize User will have the same permissions in Repository ACLs as assigned to the mapped AD account.
