Sign or Claim a Shipper eBOL

As a driver, you can search for an electronic bill of lading (eBOL) on your mobile device. Download the Transflo Mobile Plus app. With the Transflo Mobile Plus app, smart shippers are putting the eBOL at the driver’s fingertips to make it easy to find. Using a combination of geographic locations and shipper information, Transflo provides drivers with easy access to search, find, view, claim, and sign the eBOL.

  1. Verify you are receiving true load assignments or are assigned to work a route that includes one or more pre-defined pickup locations from an authorized shipper, carrier, or broker. They are typically using the Transflo Unite Shipper Portal or Velocity Plus Command Center. As a driver, all you need is the Transflo mobile app.

  2. Drive toward your assigned pickup location.

Tip: In most configurations of the customizable Mobile+ app, as you drive toward the shipper pickup location, you receive a geo-fence notification that alerts you when you are within one (1) to five (5) miles of the shipper pickup location. You must set your device to allow the app to always access your location.

  3. Tap on Search or Request eBOL.

  4. Tap an option:

    • Search eBOL: allows the driver to locate an eBOL supplied by the shipper.

    • Request eBOL: allows the driver to request an eBOL from the shipper.

  5. Most of the time, you can click the eBOL Search menu item in your edition of the Transflo Mobile+ App. Based on your current location, one or more shipper pickup locations appear.

    1. If the shipper pickup location you expect to see does not show up, tap Filter and slide the Distance setting to the right (up to 5.0 miles).

    2. Tap the shipper location in Map View and then tap Select Shipper. Or, in List View, tap the shipper entry.

  6. Enter at least the first six (6) characters (letters or numbers) in the Shipment ID search field and tap the search icon to view matching results.

    1. Select the correct shipment ID.

    2. Each stop is represented by a card or tile. You can select each stop or claim all documents at once.

    3. Select a stop (or a master bill of lading or MBOL) and then tap one of the following options:

      • View and Sign

      • View Document

      • Claim Document (recommended to save time) To save even more time, an option to Claim All Documents is also available.

Tip: Sign the document now if you have time or it is a job requirement. If not, you can just claim it. Either way, if you sign now or claim an eBOL, it is going to be easier to find the ePOD later and bring it up on your mobile device to have it signed later by you (if required) or the consignee at delivery.

Example 1: Tap Select and then choose View and Sign or Claim Document. Verify the shipment shows the proper status, such as Driver Claimed Document.

Example 2: To save time, tap Claim All Documents. (You can still select individual documents to view or sign if you need.)

If you claim all, you are prompted to tap OK.

  1. Tap Back and deliver the shipment as required by the shipper. Deliver and process paperwork for each stop or process one final master eBOL (which becomes your ePOD) for all stops in a multi-stop shipment. In this example, the driver claimed the eBOL for stop ONE and proceeds to the pickup location, gets the load, and drives to the delivery location.
