Manage Shipments as Loads

As a shipper you can manage your shipments as formal Command Center loads just like other brokers, carriers, and shippers do, or you can save some steps by simply uploading the eBOL for a shipment and tracking driver and consignee signatures directly.

As a shipper, you can create and manage loads, upload documents such as bill of ladings, and share documents. Drivers can be assigned and search for your loads, make deliveries, and sign documents electronically with no messy printed pages.

  1. At top right, click CREATE LOAD.

    • In some configurations, you might click LOADS in the top menu bar and then select CREATE LOAD.

    • On the Find Load page, you can also click the +Create New Load button.

  2. In the Carrier Name field, enter the carrier name.

  3. Enter at least one of the following carrier identifiers:

    1. DOT Number

    2. SCAC Code

    3. MC Number

  4. Enter the Shipment ID and BOL number.

  5. Click +Create Load Details.

  6. Complete the dates, times, and locations in the Pick Up and Drop Off sections:

  7. Click Add Load Details.

  8. Confirm the load information and click Save Load.

  9. The load that you just created is shown in the list of loads.

Tip: You can now edit the load, add documents, and share the load with drivers.

 

As a shipper, you can search for loads, view load status, edit a load, add documents, and share custom links to your loads with defined expiration times.

  1. The loads that you create (see Manage Shipments as Loads) appear in the list of loads.

  2. Click the Edit or Share Load button and select Share.

  3. Complete the fields on the page:

    1. Tracking Link: The system generates this web link for you. You can copy and paste it into your own email or let the system send it for you.

    2. Expires: Enter the duration or lifespan for the link to your load. For examples, 3 hours or 2 days.

    3. Email tracking to: Enter the email address for each recipient.

    4. Personalize Message: Enter a short greeting or important details.

  4. Click Send.

  5. Each recipient of the tracking link can view load information including the pickup and delivery location.

    Example: Here is an example showing what the recipient sees in their email inbox when you click Share, complete the tracking invitation, and send it.

  6. Each recipient can click the View Load Map link to view the pickup and delivery locations on the map.

    Note: Live load tracking will be enabled in a future version of Transflo Shipper Portal.

  1. There are two ways to open, view, and edit the load:

    • You can click on the load directly from the find load screen, which will open the load. When the load opens, there is an option to edit the load.

    • Or, you can click the options in the load list to either share or edit the load (the current row in the list).

  2. After you open the load, you can update the load information and load details.

    Note: The Shipment ID and BOL number are not editable.
