The December 2025 release of Synergize 17.2 includes the following new features, updates, bug fixes, and improvements. Reference ID numbers are sometimes included below as a convenience to help support and implementation professionals track changes or perform user-acceptance testing.
This release consisted mostly of updates to the new Synergize Explorer component.
Release 17.2 requires Microsoft .NET 8, Synergize Server 16.2.0.5 (or higher), Synergize Configurators 17.2, and Synergize Services 17.2.

When a user logs out and logs back in, Synergize Explorer HTML5 17.2 saves and restores their last selected check box options under the following tool buttons at the top of the Properties pane [US 330202, 577737]:

When a user logs out and logs back in, Synergize Explorer HTML5 17.2 saves and restores their last selected repository (if they have access to multiple repositories) and preserves their last selected value in the Match field on the Related Documents tab [US 330203 335204].

A new tab has been added that lists all configurators for admin use only [US 329374].

Resolved an issue where Request Error appeared when loading or saving documents due to an apostrophe in the queue name [332081, 603808].

Resolved an issue with intermittent license or service failure and unresponsive Synergize Connection Service (SCS) status after EMC upgrades to 16.2.1 [331864, 600656].

Resolved an issue where certain tables in the Workflow Designer did not appear on the AP Config page in the Transflo Synergize Accounts Payable (AP) solution [205583, 540170].

Release 17.1 requires Microsoft .NET 8, Synergize Server 16.2.0.5 (or higher), Synergize Configurators 17.1, and Synergize Services 17.1 or higher.

You can now view the list of GL Codes and GL Names when typing in a GL CODE [254610, 561238].

Although the Enterprise Management Console (EMC) has a valid transformation to support Outlook Message Format (MSG) files, previous releases of Synergize HTML5 did not support the display of MSG files. Microsoft Outlook e-mail messages saved as MSG files with the .MSG or .msg file type naming extension can now be displayed in Synergize HTML5 17.1 or higher [328083, 456073].

The Save Document SPS action now includes an option to choose a storage profile [330829, 593806].

The application was improved to reduce wasted space and improve automatic document naming in both Synergize HTML5 edition and the legacy Synergize Web Explorer [306895, 567177; 329638, 423500].

Upgraded fabric library from v4 to v6 [155278]. These important security and maintenance updates have no direct impact on the user interface. Extensive QA regression testing including rotations, zooming in and out, visual annotations, stamps, signatures, and other image viewing scenarios were performed to maintain product performance.
The following bug fixes were also made:

Bug 329734 resolved an issue with intermittent workflow processing failure with Multiple Images [585914, 596018].

Bug 329229 resolved an issue where documents were not auto-refreshing in queues after processing all workflow items [582365].

Bug 326783 resolved memory issues associated with bloated queries [571093].
Explorer Lite 1.0.5 can be updated to 1.0.6.0 to receive the following minor bug fix:

Resolved an issue where Synergize Hub was not working with an exposed URL [330178, 590033].
Resolved two (2) bugs to improve QuickLinks functionality:

Resolved an error where command windows popped up when searching and viewing documents[328463].

Resolved an error that occurred when navigating to a document after launching QuickLinks or the integration tool [330749].
Barcode Test Tool 1.2.0 should be upgraded to 1.3.0 to get the following bug fix:

Resolved an issue where the DPI calculation for PDF files was not correct when selecting a page region on the screen [331508].

The user interface for creating and saving custom SQL queries has been improved. On par with the legacy Java edition of the Synergize Web Explorer, the new HTML5 edition supports the full syntax, fields, functions, validation, operators, brackets, conditions, and ability to run queries and view results [322814].

User settings and manual adjustments to the size and width of the Properties window are saved for the current logged-in user and preserved when each user logs out and back in.

Resolved an issue blocking users from viewing more than one freight bill (FB) in Synergize Explorer as verified in the Synergize Explorer Integration Configuration UI test tool [579581, bug 328831].
In previous releases, the following error occurred:
Integration Exception: Error navigating to document - Protocol error (Page.navigate): Invalid referrerPolicy

Resolved an issue where administrative users could not run the Synergize Explorer Integration Configuration UI test tool as an administrator in the Chrome browser when it was set as the default browser [bug 328457].
The 17.0.1 release also added fixes for the following items:

Resolved an issue with intermittent multi-image workflow processing failures [585914, bug 329734].

Resolved an issue [585907, bug 329735] where an error message appeared after a user performed the following steps:

Create and save a redaction or annotation.

Change the location or position of the redaction or annotation item on the document.

Click Save.
The following error message appears: Error: Unable to find original annotation

To resolve this error, choose one of the following:

Immediate Workaround: Refresh the current browser page. Clicking OK will not work. You might lose your unsaved changes and might need to log out and log back in again.

Recommended Fix: Update to Synergize Explorer 17.0.1 to fix this issue.

Synergize Bulk Print 16.1 and 16.2 in Release 17.0.x of Synergize included the following fixes:

Synergize Bulk Print 16.1 in Release 17.0.x of Synergize resolved an issue where Synergize Bulk Print and Barcode Test tools were not reading some barcodes correctly [572994, bug 328377].

Synergize Bulk Print 16.2 in Release 17.0.x of Synergize resolved an issue where the order, separator, and fixed length options for email attachments was not correct [573130, 00582675, bug 327611].
Synergize Process Server 15.4.0 now includes the following updates:

Resolved an issue where broker pay statements were processing slowly without the TASMAN engine. When a TASMAN engine was used, some barcodes were not processed [527711, bug 204443].
Synergize Web Client 16.2.1 in Synergize Release 17.0.x includes the following updates:

Resolved an issue in legacy environments running EMC 15.3.2 and Synergize Web Client 14.1.1.0 (Corretto Java) where some characters did not display correctly when previewing a PDF document [539918, bug 205551].

Synergize Web Client 16.2.1 includes the fixes in Synergize Web Client Launcher 15.0 and Synergize Web Client 16.2.0.2:

Resolved an issue associated with legacy versions of Java versions [577722, bug 328406

Resolved one or more security issues associated with Synergize Web Client Launcher [578232, bug 328482].
