Synergize Software End-of-Life Policy
Transflo (Synergize and other Microdea products are now part of Transflo) strives to continually innovate and evolve its solutions, providing customers with richer functionality, more robust products, and up-to-date support for third-party dependencies such as operating systems, browsers, web servers, and database servers. To ensure support for the latest updates and security releases, it is important that our customers are constantly maintaining their implementations to current standards.
Our End-of-Support (EOS) and End-of-Life (EOL) policies can change at any time with or without notice. We make every effort to announce EOS and EOL changes for aging versions of the Synergize Suite of products including but not limited to the following summary over the past five (5) years with a look ahead at the next year (2025):
-
As of July 1, 2020, our ability to support versions 12.3 SP5 and prior will be significantly reduced to include limited troubleshooting based on our current knowledge base. We encourage customers to initiate plans for upgrades to 16.2 and more current versions.
-
As of November 1, 2020, Microdea will cease to support our current LoadDocs integration.
-
As of November 1, 2024, Transflo no longer sells the Synergize Driver Recruitment module to new customers; however, we continue to offer Support to our existing customers.
-
As of November 1, 2025, the minimum supported release is Synergize 14.1.0 (originally released in 2019). Synergize 13.x, 12.x, and previous releases will reach their EOS and EOL milestones and all support for these legacy releases will end on November 1, 2025.
Software Lifecycle and End-of-life Policy
Our goal is to provide straightforward product lifecycle policies that help our customers better design, deploy, and manage their IT investments and upgrades, while offering as much flexibility as possible to allow for upgrades to be scheduled in advance, along with appropriate levels of support to assist you in maintaining your environment to current standards.
By reducing the backlog of supported versions of Synergize, both our support and development resources become more efficient, resulting in improved service levels and response times while maximizing the quantity & quality of product enhancements delivered in each new release. We want to ensure that all customers have the appropriate plans in place to upgrade to a current and supported version of Synergize, as well as helping to address any 3rd party operating system dependencies.
Third Party Dependencies
For customers running on version 12.3 SP5 and Prior, those systems are likely dependent on 3rd party software which is no longer supported, or nearing its end of support. Continuing with unsupported software may pose a possible security risk to your business. Any dependencies on 3rd party software must be considered as part of your Synergize software upgrade plan.
Microsoft has announced that on January 14, 2020, support for Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 will end. What does Windows Server 2008 end of support mean for your business? Takeshi Numoto, Corporate Vice President, Cloud + Enterprise at Microsoft explains:
“End of support means the end of regular security updates. With cyberattacks becoming more sophisticated and frequent, running apps and data on unsupported versions can create significant security and compliance risks. The 2008 family of products was great for its time, but we highly recommend upgrading to the most current versions for better performance, efficiency, and regular security updates.”
