Resolve Issue: Synergize Explorer Application Window is Hidden and Not Visible on Screen
Use this article to resolve an issue where a user has accidentally dragged or otherwise accidentally moved an application window to a position outside of the visible screen area. A user can click the Synergize Explorer icon but the application is not visible on their monitor. The user cannot change the position and typically does not want to modify their Windows client registry keys (another possible way to fix this).
This condition can occur when a user accidentally moves a window to a position off-screen due to accidental keystrokes, a cat walking on a keyboard, a detached second monitor, or a hidden frozen modal window waiting for a button to be clicked that is blocking access and preventing normal use.
1. Select the Synergize application in the taskbar.
2. Hold down the Windows Logo keys and press the arrow keys to reposition the Synergize application window.
-
If you still cannot locate the hidden window, launch Windows Registry by typing regedit from the command prompt or by typing regedit from Run or clicking the executable from C:\Windows.
-
Navigate through the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder to VB and VBA Program Settings.
-
Expand the Synergize Explorer folder and navigate to Window.
3. In Window change Height, Left, Top and Width to 7920, 6960, 2325 and 13515.
4. Launch Synergize Explorer and the window should be visible.
(Optional) Launch Synergize Explorer as administrator and then maximize to full screen.
