Synergize EMC: Stop and Start the Synergize Connection Service

Use this article to stop and start the Synergize Connection Service (SCS) in Synergize EMC during a planned maintenance window when all users can exit the system.

  1. Verify all users are logged out of the entire Synergize system. Stopping and then starting SCS will temporarily force all users out of Synergize.

  2. Log on to the server hosting Synergize EMC and launch EMC as administrator.

  3. Navigate to the SCS node.

  4. In the SCS Manager menu in the center, click Stop.

  5. Click Yes.

  6. Wait 60 seconds.

  7. Click Start.

  8. As a reminder, stopping and then starting SCS will temporarily force all users out of Synergize.

  9. When finished, users can log back in to Synergize.
