End of Support for 3G Devices (3G Sunset)

Early in 2022, all major wireless network carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint implemented a process known as 3G sunset, 3G end-of-support (EOS), or end-of-life (EOL) to make room for faster 4G devices. Transflo launched an awareness and outreach campaign in March 2022 and would like to thank you for the overwhelming support as you embraced new technologies to keep your ELD-equipped fleets moving forward.

This page no longer applies going forward beyond 2023; it is here for archival or historic purposes only. The 3G sunset for both Verizon and AT&T (the two carriers Transflo used with Geotab in 2022) has already transpired.

Tip: Only Transflo T7 and G7 ELDs were subject to the 3G sunset. These devices had serial numbers starting with G7. Your new Transflo T9 ELD (known as T-series ELDs) are 4G-compliant and do not need to be replaced as part of 3G sunsetting.
