Transflo DMS Enterprise Administration Tool
The Transflo Administration Tool web application is used to configure and administer basic settings for all components and applications. As a transportation, logistics, billing, or financial industry professional, you rely on Transflo applications to create and process electronic copies of documents and their associated data. The Administration Tool provides the means by which your system administrator can create one or more companies for your organization. After defining at least one company, separate document classes can be created for each company.
A document class is the highest level entity that is used to define your documents. Each document class is assigned separate attributes that are used by downstream applications to define, group, and categorize your documents. These attributes include fields, document types, and aliases. Fields and document types are used to uniquely define your documents.
An alias allows you to configure fields, document types, and other parameters to customize the Capture application. Storage and purge parameters are also defined at the document class level.
The Administration Tool provides a search engine called the Exception Manager that is used to track documents as they are processed by other applications and moved through queues. A Queue is an entity that contains documents for processing.
Multiple Queues are created and configured for each company in the Administration Tool. The Exception Manager allows an administrator to correct problems that may occur as documents are processed by the system.
Other features of the Administration Tool:
-
The Management Reports system is also configured in the Administration Tool. The Management Reports web application allows you to quickly generate reports detailing numerous aspects of your Transflo image-processing system.
-
You can also monitor the system for pre-defined events, and receive email alert notifications if any of these events occur.
-
Apply and remove locks on an application, company, or the entire system. Locks prevent changes from being made to the target of the lock during system maintenance.
-
A state of the art business process management (BPM) definition engine named Workflow with its own Deployment Administrator suite of tools that communicate with clients running the Deployment Agent.
-
Identify and deploy new versions of the most popular applications to your network systems.
-
An Import/Export Utility to export server configurations to an XML file that you can import on another server (keeping your environments synchronized).
-
Configuration and monitoring of the following background processes on the server controlled by the system agent:
-
Purge Utility
-
Monitors
-
Alerts
-
Workflow Case Initiator
-
Workflow Scripting Agent
-
Workflow DList Agent
-
Workflow MDP Agent (Missing Documents Processor)
-
Workflow Purge Agent
Tip: The system agent will write events related to all system agent processes in the Transflo.SystemAgent logs regardless of whether they are configured or not. This allows the system agent to be running all of the time so that it does not have to be stopped and restarted when a new process is configured.

The Administration Tool uses Groups and Users to restrict or grant access to information that is gathered and processed within TRANSFLO® applications.
A Group is a defined set of Document Classes, Queues, and Aliases grouped together under a unique name. A User is an entity that is granted access to one or more Groups. A User is granted a unique User ID and Password. When logging into a TRANSFLO® application with a User ID and Password, an employee can access Document Classes, Queues, and Aliases associated with the Groups assigned to the User.
-
For best results with Microsoft web browsers in Internet Explorer mode, set the security level to Medium. If your work environment requires a setting higher than Medium, enable Active Scripting to maintain functionality.
-
The TRANSFLO® Administration Tool and a corresponding database have been installed on the server or on servers in the same domain.
-
A System Administration User has been created with full rights to Administration Tool.
-
The Administration Tool has been installed on a Windows server running internet server software.
-
Microsoft Windows® Server 2012 (x86 and x64)
-
Microsoft Windows® Server 2016 ( x64)
The following is a list of required third-party software:
-
Internet Explorer 11.0 or later (after 2022, use Microsoft Edge)
-
Microsoft SQL Server 2012, 2016, or newer
Note: The hardware requirements are based on a single system with approximately 10,000 or fewer images per day. Contact Pegasus TransTech or Transflo Professional Services for requirements for systems processing a higher volume.
