Update an ELD Device ID

As a driver or owner-operator with a registered ELD purchased at any retail location, you can change your device ID in the HOS web portal. For example, if you purchased a new ELD, you would perform the steps in this article to update your device ID.

The steps in this KB article apply only to retail ELD customer accounts. This article does not apply to fleet drivers and fleet managers.

  1. Navigate to https://hos.transflo.com/ and click Login.

  2. Enter your username and password and click Sign In.

  3. The current Device ID appears at the top of the screen.

  4. Tap on the Device ID and enter the new Serial Number and the existing Truck Number then click Update.

  5. The Device ID and the Truck Number update at the top of the screen.

  6. Be sure to change the truck you have selected in the Electronic Logs app. This can be done by logging out and back in, or by going to your Assets page and clicking Change next to your assigned truck.
