Mobile+ v5.4.5 Release Notes

The v5.4.5 release of the Transflo Mobile+ app in November 2022 included the following new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. Users can expect the updated app to be available in a phased roll-out as early as Monday, November 7, 2022 with most users updated by December 5.

Tip: Most of the updates apply to all users on all devices; however, the exact date of deployment of the updated app and scope of the changes often vary by individual user due to different fleet configurations, the features you use or do not use, your mobile operating system, your mobile device type (phone or tablet), and whether you have your Auto-Update setting ON or OFF.

 

Reminder: Transflo is the premier provider of popular commercial apps, custom white label apps, in-cab tablet editions, and thousands of additional integration features. Due to all the possible product configuration changes for your specific fleet, it is possible that user interface labels, buttons, links, dials, tiles, icons, colors, logos, and placement on the screen can vary. Features can also be hidden from your view based on fleet ID or permissions. In the documentation, we cover a default setup with screen examples that are generally similar for smart phones and tablets running either iOS or Android OS. Adjust certain steps, if needed, to reflect your actual device and product configuration.

 

 

 

  • Overhauled Fleet Management: A completely redesigned new user interface makes it easy for drivers to add recipients, swap fleets, and manage their own choice of fleets.

  • Offline Scanning with New Document Queues: Scan any document, anywhere, anytime. Enhanced scanning in this release allows you to continue to capture photos and scan documents even when you are not connected to a wireless (Wi-Fi) or data network. As a driver who needs to limit data plan consumption, or who experiences low bars or lost connectivity even with unlimited plans, you can now upload documents in Wi-Fi only mode or keep working and defer connectivity until later. The new Document Queue feature safely stores your pending documents.

  • New Actions Menu: A new Actions menu provides easy access to the new fleet management and document queue features with a scalable design that can accommodate additional future features.

  • Camera Privacy Settings: The app now prompts users who use scanning to change their camera privacy settings as needed.

  • Recent Configuration Change Settings: Added the ability for users to pull the most recent configuration change from the settings menu.

  • Migration Support for Microdea Origin Mobile Users: This release introduces renewed support for Microdea Origin Mobile customers migrating to Transflo Mobile.

  • Fixed a bug that caused third-party app links to open the Google Play store instead of the designated app.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the app to crash when quickly closing it and then opening it again.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented users from deleting all notifications.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the wrong HOS status to display.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the app to crash when trying to use the HEY TRANSFLO Voice Assist speech recognition feature.

  • Minimum Supported Version of Android has been updated from Android 5 to Android 7. Due to a change in the minimum supported mobile OS for a popular integrated feature, the Transflo Mobile+ app now requires Android 7 or newer releases.

    • If you have Android 7 or newer, or plan to upgrade to Android 7 or newer: The new release of the Transflo Mobile+ app will appear in the Google Play store and you can download, install, or update to this new release.

    • If you plan to remain on a legacy Android 5 or 6 release: You will no longer find the Transflo Mobile+ app in Google Play and your existing app cannot be updated. However, you can continue to run your old edition of the app on your device running your pre-Android 7 OS.

      Tip: Transflo cannot recommend this legacy arrangement beyond a temporary window of time due to potential security and performance issues. For the latest features, enhancements, security patches, bug fixes, and support, upgrade to the latest version of the Transflo Mobile+ app.

  • Fixed a bug that caused documents to disappear when editing a field and going back to a previous page.

  • Fixed a bug that caused drivers to log out of HOS even if the user selected Stay Logged In.

  • Fixed a bug that caused notifications not to appear on some iPad models.

  • Fixed a bug that caused an error to appear when opening Scheduler.

  • Fixed a bug that would log drivers out when closing the Add Co-Driver pop-up.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented users from adding existing files on their device when scanning documents.

  • Fixed a bug that caused a crash when navigating to the dashboard with 30+ notifications.
