Synergize 15.x Release Notes History

In April 2024, Synergize 15.3.3 included the following Synergize Explorer HTML5 Edition updates:

In February 2024, Release 15.3.2 introduces customer-requested enhancements in the cloud version of Synergize moving the product closer to full multi-tenant functionality.

This release includes an array of enhancements, moving the new HTML5 edition of Synergize Explorer closer to achieving complete feature parity with the legacy Java version of Synergize. With advanced batch indexing and splitting capabilities, more refined monetary field displays, and overall system stability enhancements, we're confident that this update significantly elevates the user experience for our clients.

New Feature: Display Batch Indexing/Splitting with Initial Data

• Batch splitting is a process designed to enhance the efficiency of document handling within a system. It involves dividing a large batch of documents into smaller, more manageable groups. This allows for more effective processing, as each document or group of documents can be indexed, processed, and tracked individually. By implementing batch splitting, the system can handle large volumes of data more efficiently, reducing processing times and improving overall workflow. Additionally, it aids in error detection and resolution, as issues can be identified and addressed on a smaller scale, rather than within the entire batch. This leads to increased accuracy and efficiency in document processing.

• Updated the system for enhanced efficiency in receiving and processing data for document batches.

• Implemented the ability to effectively parse and interpret data, enabling optimal indexing/splitting parameters for each document.

• Streamlined initialization of batch indexing/splitting process, ensuring tailored processing for each document.

• Improved tracking capabilities within the system, allowing real-time monitoring of document progress through indexing/splitting stages.

• Added new feature for generating detailed reports, highlighting errors or exceptions encountered during processing, providing valuable insights for the document processing team.

Synergize Explorer Enhanced Features

• Enhanced the visibility of documents loaded to Synergize via indexing and indexed through SPS, addressing previous visibility issues reported by LHF.

• Fine-tuned the display of money fields to ensure consistency across all Synergize areas, displaying two decimal places uniformly.

• Optimized licensing verification for users with Workflow licenses. With this update, the HTML5 version now seamlessly recognizes and validates user licenses, ensuring uninterrupted and efficient access. This advancement reflects a commitment to providing a more streamlined and user-friendly experience, particularly in license management and system accessibility.

• Upgraded all micro-services for HTML5 to .NET 8; however, regression-testing revealed that .NET 6 remains the best required version for enhanced performance and stability.

• Enhanced the HTML5 Explorer to show the count of documents approvable by the logged-in user.

Fine-Tuned Features in Synergize Explorer HTML5 Version

• A new scrollbar has been introduced in the Tree View, enhancing user navigation and accessibility. This new feature makes it easier to manage and navigate large datasets or complex hierarchical structures.

• Successfully resolved configuration-related issues in workflow mode, ensuring seamless operation even when specific forms are not set in the AP config.

• Addressed and rectified the error occurring with the "batch split" toggle button in workflow mode, enhancing its reliability and functionality.

• Refined the dropdown list in WF mode to maintain visibility and accessibility for users without a Cost Center, particularly when Approval is enabled in the AP config.

• The workflow ensures seamless operation, particularly when cancelling transactions. This enhancement specifically ensures robust performance even in scenarios where the 'purchaseAmt' field exceeds three digits, providing a more reliable and error-free experience.

• Improved the system's stability and functionality by resolving issues where Document Services Update impacted GL Lookups, ensuring smoother and more reliable operations.

• Successfully addressed and resolved errors related to opening PDFs in a queue set to batch splitting mode in workflow mode, enhancing the system's efficiency and user experience.

• Enhanced the GL coding tabs feature by rectifying issues with multiple lines, thereby ensuring its error-free functionality and improving overall user interaction with the system.

• These enhancements significantly improve the functionality, user experience, and overall reliability of Synergize Explorer, bringing it a step closer to achieving complete parity with its Java version in terms of features and stability.

In December 2023, Release 15.3.1 introduces a new Batch Indexing and Splitting process workflow feature in the HTML 5 edition of Synergize Explorer and includes several other bug fixes and enhancements:

• Synergize Explorer 15.3.1 now allows you to display batch indexing data and then split a document into multiple documents with one or more pages. • Synergize Explorer SMS Workflow Batch Splitting now allows you to make text annotations per indexed document.

• BSW API endpoint updates now include update batch, get batch, set batch to final status, set the batch processing status, get the next available batch, and move batch to next step.

• Synergize Process Server (SPS) now includes the following updates:

  • Version upgrade to Aspose.Barcode.dII 23.1.0.

  • Bug fix for Cleanup Action Error in SPS 14.5.0

  • Bug fix for Define Variable Action (now supports left-align property)

• IBE bug fix for PDF File Decoder Exception: Wrong or unsupported image format.

• Transflo database updates:

  • Stored procedure fix for arithmetic overflow issues

  • New EMC WorkflowlndexingState table for received batches in new or existing repositories; when you create a new repository, EMC adds a new WorkflowIndexingState table.

• Bug fix for error message when clicking the Execute Lookup button in TMW Suite integrations.

• API endpoints for TMWSuite integrations have also been updated.

In September 2023, Release 15.3.0 introduced a new Workflow Field Grouping feature in the HTML 5 edition of Synergize Explorer and included several other bug fixes and enhancements:

• Synergize Explorer HTML now includes a new Workflow Grouping feature. To streamline your workflow process and improve efficiency, you can now group documents in Synergize Explorer so that all documents with the same value are processed together in the same queue. You can update common fields that are shared among all the documents: if one field is updated in one document, all other documents grouped with that document show the same updates in that same field.

• Synergize Explorer also includes new options for viewing a workflow document in a viewer window with buttons for Fit to Height or Fit to Width.

• Synergize Explorer SMS Workflow Batch Grouping allows you to accept text annotations per indexed document.

• The Synergize Explorer SMS Add Document REST API now supports the multi-part form data content-type header.

• A Transflo Extraction and Conversion Engine image quality issue has been resolved and a fix has been applied to this release.

In July 2023, Release 15.2.0 introduced a new Tree View Search feature in the HTML 5 edition of Synergize Explorer and included several other bug fixes and enhancements:

• 144080 [SE-3047]: Synergize Explorer HTML now includes a new Tree View feature where users can effortlessly browse and locate documents in large sets through enhanced grouping options and collapsible sections.

  • Group documents based on different criteria such as date, category, or author.

  • Collapse sections under each grouping for a cleaner and more efficient browsing experience.

  • Simplify document exploration and improve productivity with our intuitive Tree View Search feature.

• 155407 [SF-330277]: Resolved an issue with the email attachment name sent by Synergize Explorer HTML.

• 154774 [SF-324869]: Synergize Explorer HTML viewer properly centers document images.

• 154476 [SF-321680]: Improved the Synergize money field type to include auto-commas to display in Synergize Explorer HTML 5.

• Synergize Explorer 15.2 requires Synergize Services 15.2 or newer.

In April 2023, Release 15.1.2 improved a few existing features. The following issues were fixed:

• SE-3237: Multiple selection was not working as expected.

• SE-3233: File name for downloading was not the same when emailing documents from the HTML 5 interface.

• SE-3232: Synergize fields with default values were not being set when saving using HTML 5.

• 147093: Workflow Document Explorer was not sorting and hiding fields as expected.
