Mobile+ v6.1.0 Release Notes

The feature updates, bug fixes, and code consolidation improvements in this release are the same for iOS and Android. As previously announced in November 2023, the minimum supported Apple iOS release required to run Transflo Mobile+ increased from 11.0 to 14.0 on Jan 3, 2024 (learn more...).

Users can tentatively expect the updated 6.1 app to be available in a phased roll-out as early as January 22, 2024 with most user devices receiving the updated app by March 7, 2024. These dates are subject to change.

Release 6.1 does not include new features; however, it does provide the following enhancements or improvements to current features:

  • Breadcrumb Improvements

  • Scan OCR Improvements

  • Notification enhancements including improved features to delete a notification and mark the ones already viewed to distinguish between read and unread notifications [118531]

  • HOS 4 Clocks UI/UX Improvements

  • ELD/HOS Support and Research Items

  • Enhancement to open App/Play Store for third-party apps

  • Enhancements to support Transflo Unite (Command Center) Shipper Portal (also known as Transflo eBOL)

  • UI Updates and fixes for headers and logos

  • Enhanced error messages that are more clear to users

  • Enhanced menu item loading behavior

  • Rework lock screen to better lock down the app

  • Password-based registration

  • Merge Scan Offline features into the new Registration functionality

  • Enhancements to the recently added ability to delete your own account on Android devices

  • Additional updates to support the new R6.0 scanning features

  • CoPilot feature flag for the enhanced route optimization features introduced in version 6.0.1

  • Refactored and optimized source code to deliver mobile performance improvements for legacy registration functionality

  • Code consolidation to yield a 30-40% gain in infrastructure component efficiency to enable targeted rebuilds capable of delivering new scanning engine features and other enhancements for customers with our custom white-label app experience

  • Internal infrastructure hardening, core technology enhancements, and security updates.

  • General bug fixes and enhancements.

 

Tip: Most of the updates apply to all users on all devices; however, the exact date of deployment of the updated app and scope of the changes often vary by individual user due to different fleet configurations, the features you use or do not use, your mobile operating system, your mobile device type (phone or tablet), and whether you have your Auto-Update setting ON or OFF.

 

Reminder: Transflo is the premier provider of popular commercial apps, custom white label apps, in-cab tablet editions, embedded handset editions, and thousands of additional fleet-specific integrated features. Due to all the possible product configuration changes for your specific fleet, it is possible that user interface labels, buttons, links, dials, tiles, icons, colors, logos, and placement on the screen can vary. Features can also be hidden from your view based on customer account, fleet ID, or user permissions. Adjust certain steps, if needed, to reflect your actual device, product configuration, and company policies.
