Scan a Barcode

As a driver, you might see a bar code field where you can scan in a code for a trailer, load number, RFID tag, palette, less-than-load (LTL) shipment, dock, QR code, or another visual field input type.

 

1. Complete your tasks and steps as normal.

   For example, as a driver, you might be filling out a safety form on your mobile device or completing a required trip sheet. See Safety Accidents, Loss, or Damage or Submit a Trip Sheet.

2. If a bar code appears in a field, tap the field. You can enter an ID number or tap the bar code symbol to launch the integrated camera on your mobile device.

   

3. Your camera tells you it is in bar code scanning mode.

   

4. Place your device over the code you want to scan. You can scan other information but it is looking for a bar code.

   

5. Your camera identifies the code.

   

6. The camera converts the code into an ID and enters it in the field. You can edit the value if needed.
