Install .NET Framework 3.5.1 to Resolve Error: Could not load file or assembly System.Core, Version=3.5.0.0

Use this article to resolve issues when .NET Framework 3.5.1 is not installed on the Windows client workstation or server. Users receive the message below when attempting to launch Synergize software.

Microsoft .NET Framework Error: Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. Could not load file or assembly or one of its dependencies.

The prerequisite .NET Framework 3.5.1 was not installed on the PC or server.

1. Click Quit.

2. Install .NET Framework 3.5.1 on the specific client workstation or server. To resolve the error, try installing or configuring Synergize software again. Choose client or server below.

Windows Client PC

1. Navigate to the Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows features on or off.

2. Using the Windows Features window select Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and after installation click the OK button.

Windows Server

1. Navigate to Server Manager's Features and select Add Features.

2. Using the Add Features Wizard window select .NET Framework 3.5.1 Features and navigate through the installation menus.

After the installation is finished, a server reboot might be required.
