Suspend or Cancel Transflo HOS ELD Telematics Service [retail fleet driver retailadmin administrator tfm hos-app]

You can temporarily suspend service (a nominal service fee applies) or permanently terminate service for your electronic logging device (ELD). Before you cancel your ELD device service, review these steps:

  1. Plan ahead and verify the exact last day you will need your ELD service. For example, confirm with your boss or supervisor that you definitely won't need service for your ELD as of the first day of next month.

  2. Decide how you want to process your request. You will need to send a written request by e-mail where you make it clear whether you want to simply suspend service or truly terminate service, as explained next:

    • Suspend Service: With this option, you are charged only $10 per month (per device) to keep the telecommunications SIM card in your ELD in an inactive state so that it can be used again someday in the future. Every ELD has a SIM card inside to transmit required telematics data to our servers through a data connection. To preserve and maintain that SIM card, make it clear in your e-mail to Transflo ELD Support that you want to "temporarily suspend (but not terminate) my ELD service."

Tip: If you suspend service, you can re-activate your suspended account and use the ELD again at any time in the future.

    • Terminate Service: With this option, your service is canceled and your SIM card is terminated. The SIM card and the ELD which were assigned to you can no longer be used now or at any time in the future. If you want this permanent option, write in your email request that you want to "terminate my ELD service."

Important! If you terminate service, your ELD is permanently disabled and cannot be re-activated later.

  3. Provide the following details in your e-mail request:

    • Your first and last name.

    • The e-mail address or username you used when you originally registered your ELD.

    • Your ELD serial number.

    • Make it clear which option you are requesting: to temporarily suspend service or to permanently terminate service.

    • The last day of working service and the effective date for the suspended service or termination.

  4. Send your request to suspend or terminate your Transflo ELD service by e-mail to eldsupport@transflo.com.
