Resolve Synergize Client Installation Error: oleaut32.dll could not be opened

Use this article to resolve the following error users or administrators might get when installing Synergize Client because the account logged into the PC does not have sufficient permissions to write to the Windows folder.

The file C:\windows\system32\oleaut32.dll could not be opened. Please check that your disk is not full and that you have access to the destination directory.

  1. Verify the account logged into the PC has local administrator privileges.

  2. Right-click or open the user name.

  3. Click the Member Of tab.

  4. If the user account does not have sufficient rights:

    1. Log in to the PC as an account with local administrator privileges or add the user to the group for the workstation.

    2. Try the installation again.
